MOCC has tasked this project to ECF with the funding of $ 58,100/- in ...order to enable Pakistan to prepare and submit its third national communication on climate change as required under Article 12 of the UNFCCC (The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change). GCF funding is expected to enhance ECF's organizational capacities and facilitate micro-level energy efficiency and conservation projects, with a minimum funding of $10,000,000. This move will not only strengthen ECF but also contribute to Pakistan meeting its climate mitigation responsibilities and obtaining additional financing through carbon credits.

Additionally, ECF may act as a leasing or financing company, providing ESCOs and customers with energy-efficient equipment on lease or benefit-sharing terms. Studies from different development partners indicate that the Super ESCO model is potentially viable.
